Our new ADC is extremely simple in design.  It features no input stage volume adjustment, just a single high-speed amplifier before the converter for simplicity and purity of signal path.  Clocking is based on an ultra low-jitter third order crystal oscillator.  Power supply filtration is designed around latest-generation semiconductive capacitors instead of a traditional electrolytic-based method, ensuring excellent power supply performance.  This is an A/D that can go head to head with very expensive designs.  Once you use our ADC, your standards will be forever changed.

We recorded some basic A/B sound samples using an early prototype of our A/D and a Benchmark ADC-1. You can download them in aiff format here.  

The D/A is currently in the design stage, but we promise to have some sound samples available soon.  Like the A/D, it has 33dB of analog stage headroom and uses the flagship Cirrus Logic converter (the CS4398).

We also have two new mic preamps in the works: both are very high-headroom  fully balanced designs.  One is a transformerless preamp based on the Cohen Double-Balanced circuit.  This circuit has served as the basis for the SSL 9000 preamp, the Focusrite Green Range, the Amek 2500, and several other highly regarded designs. The second design uses parallel discrete stages based on Electrodyne's very musical  M100 opamp and silicon steel output transformers.

Beginning in March, we will no longer sell the MicroClock directly.  It will instead be available directly from online retailers.   

We frequently get questions about the benefits of external clocking.There is much misinformation and misconception. As a result,we've addressed some of some of these issues, such as: Does external clocking add unnecessary jitter? It's available herein PDF format.
