Our Policies

We extend a two (2) year warranty on all of our work beginning on the date your modified unit is delivered. Should you experience a modification-related failure in that time-frame, immediately contact us and we will gladly correct the issue at no charge (excluding shipping).

If your unit exhibits a modification-related failure within 30 days of delivery, we will cover ground-shipping and correct the issue at no charge, provided we are notified within the initial 30-day time frame.

If your unit exhibits a modification-related failure after 30 days of delivery, please contact us to arrange an RMA (before sending the unit). Please note, we will not be held responsible for any shipping costs.

If the issue reported turns out not to be modification-related, we reserve the right to charge an assessment/diagnostic fee for our work. (This includes, but is not limited to: power supply/harness failures, RF noise issues on 002(R)’s, DSP and memory-related glitches on MOTU units with Cuemix capability, PCI-related clicks and pops, and other issues related to the manufacturer’s design).

If your unit does exhibit a failure not related to the Black Lion Audio modification, we can often repair these issues for you in-house, or if not, we can refer your unit to an ARC (Authorized Repair Center).



We request that your unit is shipped to arrive two (2) business days before your scheduled date. We also advise carefully packing your equipment. UPS recommends that there be at least 2" - 4" of packing foam/peanuts surrounding the unit. We WILL NOT ship a poorly packaged unit back to you, as it creates an unnecessary risk of equipment damage. Therefore, please pack thoroughly to avoid any additional charges for packaging materials.

All domestic shipments are insured for full replacement value when shipped on our account. In the event of shipping-related damage, we will file a claim with the shipper. We reserve the right to repair or replace the unit at our discretion. In the event that the unit is lost or must be replaced, payment/replacement will be made once Black Lion Audio is reimbursed by the shipping company. We also will not be held liable for any lost wages, missed studio time, or uncollected compensation due to unit failures or shipping issues.

We will not be liable for shipping-related damage or failures on international orders, nor will we be liable for any lost international packages. Any and all shipping charges incurred due to customs duties, tariffs, taxes and/or advancement fees will be the customer's sole responsibility. We will not be held responsible for any such customs charges, and if we are billed for any such fees, the unit will not be returned until these fees are paid by the customer.



Please note, due to such high demand and because of our tight production schedule, we will charge a cancellation fee (30% of your down payment amount) if you cancel your appointment once it has been scheduled. In the event you do cancel your appointment, please allow 3-4 weeks for your partial-refund to be processed. We do not offer any refunds for cancellations made within two weeks of the scheduled appointment date.

If you wish to simply reschedule your appointment date, we do require a two-week notice, and there is only a nominal $25 rescheduling fee.

Please be aware, any completed units remaining unpaid in our shop for more than five business days from the time the final invoice is sent will accrue a $10 per day holding fee.



Any and all email messages sent to us (including any associated file attachments) will be regarded as the property of Black Lion Audio. We reserve the right to use the aforementioned correspondence we receive for promotion, endorsement, and testimonial purposes.
