We extend a two year warranty on our work. Should your unit fail to function properly up to and including 30 days after the date of receipt, we will gladly cover return shipping to our shop, and correct the error at no charge. Please contact us as soon as you discover the issue.
If your unit exhibits a modification-related failure after 30 days of use, you will be responsible for shipping the unit back to us. Please contact us to arrange a time to have the unit repaired.
If your unit exhibits a failure not related to the modification, we reserve the right to charge a nominal fee for our work. This includes but is not limited to power supply harness failures and RF noise issues on 002’s, DSP and memory-related glitches on MOTU units with Cuemix capability, PCI- related clicks and pops, and other known issues related to the manufacturer’s design.
We will not be liable for shipping-related failures on international orders, nor will we be held liable for lost international packages. We will not be held liable for lost wages or lost studio time.
All domestic shipments are insured for full replacement value when shipped from our shop. In the event of shipping related damage, we will file a claim with the shipper. We reserve the right to repair or replace the unit at our discretion. In the event that the unit is lost or must be replaced, payment will be made once Black Lion Audio is reimbursed by the shipping company.
We require a deposit of 50 % in the event of scheduling time to have work performed. If you wish to cancel your scheduled time, we require two weeks advance notice. If you wish to reschedule, there is a $25 rescheduling fee. There is a cancellation fee of 30% of the scheduling deposit.
There is a $10 a day charge for units that remain on our shop for more than seven days.
